Love responds was inspired by my friend Prajna Vieira who wrote this on one of my posts about blending my political and devotional art and making a new series that would be thought and feeling provoking. Love is all there is, but sometimes without action behind it, love can be just another word in the dictionary. When you love fully, you show up, you contribute and you speak up. This is part of a series about ending systemic racism. Hope it is a good reminder for you too!
As an illustrator for nearly two decades with a focus on children’s books, Jennifer Mazzucco’s passion has been the marriage of image and the written word. During this time she had also created her own community art space in NJ, worked with a number of non-profit art centers, taught college level art, earned a masters of education and visited India often. She spent the last nine years inspiring middle school children to follow their creative hearts and showing her Devotional artwork in galleries on the east coast. Jennifer recently moved out west and renovated the former kindergarten classroom of the Harmony School in Occidental into a Bhakti Center.
