After chasing this Ganesha in a truck with Holi dye covered men, we finally made it to the river where we were invited to arati with the family from Mumbai who brought him there. We lit and waved ghee lamps, sang, shared prasad and watched as they were carried into the river. It was a beautiful sight and a moment that will live in my heart forever. As an illustrator for nearly two decades with a focus on children’s books, Jennifer Mazzucco’s passion has been the marriage of image and the written word.
