This is an ode to the Taj Palace, a place famous in Mumbai for a number of reasons. It stands so majestic along the banks of the Indian Ocean - it's hard to imagine what happened in 2008, just months before I was to go to India for my first time ever. The colors of the boats made me so happy and reminded me of the beauty that is all around us and the care they take in making the visual feast that satiates us as we visit the motherland.
As an illustrator for nearly two decades with a focus on children’s books, Jennifer Mazzucco’s passion has been the marriage of image and the written word. During this time she had also created her own community art space in NJ, worked with a number of non-profit art centers, taught college level art, earned a masters of education and visited India often. She spent the last nine years inspiring middle school children to follow their creative hearts and showing her Devotional artwork in galleries on the east coast. Jennifer recently moved out west and renovated the former kindergarten classroom of the Harmony School in Occidental into a Bhakti Center.
